British Au Pair Agencies Association brings increased peace of mind
to UK Parents
The BAPAA is the only UK association to set standards for British au
pair agencies. The Association sets guidelines for support for both
families and au pairs to ensure the best possible placement. These greatly
reduce the risk of mis-match and rejection and avoid potentially disappointing
situations such as au pairs entering the country under false pretences.
BAPAA is recognised by the Home Office and liases with Government officials
to improve the process of UK visa applications for those countries where
a visa is needed. BAPAA members work with reputable partner agencies
abroad to ensure that prospective au pairs are suitable candidates for
a visa.
Families using BAPAA agencies are safe is the knowledge that the agency
is financially sound. They will receive guidance on how to welcome their
au pair, provide ongoing support for them and their au pairs. In accordance
with the au pair description, they will not allow au pairs to have sole
charge of a child under two years old.
