Style and Image Consulting

I approached my first ever colour and style analysis with some trepidation. Although I was excited about, and certainly in need of, receiving some help and guidance with my image, I was worried that I would be given an extreme makeover that just 'wasn't me'. However, I needn't have been worried, Bridget Kelsey put me at ease immediately. Over a cup of tea, she spent some time talking and finding out about me before she got started. Bridget feels it is important get an insight to the personality and lifestyle of a person and how formal or flexible their wardrobe needs to be.

The colour analysis session was both interesting and a lot of fun. As well as defining the best colours for clothing to suit and enhance my skin tone, I also enjoyed a relaxing make-up session, again using the right colours. The make-up session also included some great advice on how to apply makeup, skin care tips and how to hide or enhance certain features. The results were surprising as there were several colours that I had always avoided that looked super and the realisation that a couple of my favourite shades really did not do the best for me. We then moved on to the style analysis and I was fascinated to learn about the styles and features that enhance my body scale and fit with my personality and lifestyle. This included essential advice on not only the right style jacket, necklines, skirt lengths etc but also looked at hairstyles, glasses, jewellery and other accessories.

Bridge Kelsey has always had a passion for clothes and cosmetics but her real satisfaction is bringing out the best in a person. The help and guidelines she gives are aimed to fit you lifestyle and personality. There is no advantage in recommending a stay-at-home mum to buy several corporate suits. There are many times in life that we go through a life change - giving up work to have a family, changing your career, returning back to work after a long break or going through a separation or divorce are all times when confidence with your image needs a boost. The difference to your self-esteem when you know you are looking your best is amazing.

Everyone, at whatever stage in their life, would gain at least something from some professional advice. It is also worth the investment (less than the cost of a new outfit) because long term you will save not only money by making fewer mistakes but also time. Once you know the right colours and styles to suit you, it makes shopping so much easier and less time-consuming as you don't waste time and effort looking at and trying on clothes that are not right for you.

Bridget has recently set up Syntony Image Consultancy and provides a range of services for both men and women including personal colour and style analysis, a wardrobe workshop and personal shopping. Contact her on 01732 884485 or email bridget_kelsey@hotmail.com
